Tampa Bay Area Liquor Licenses

Florida Liquor Licenses

Beer/Wine  Only and full liquor SRX (Special Restaurant) licenses have no resale value and can be obtained directly from the local district office of the FL Division  of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (DABT) for an annual fee.  Beer and wine licenses are relatively easy to obtain as long as the applicant qualifies and the location is approved by zoning and health department or Division of Hotels and Restaurants. SRX licenses have special requirements including: square footage, number of seats and must serve 51%+ in  food sales.  Service of full course meals must be available at all times alcoholic beverages  are being served and no package sales of alcoholic beverages are permitted. Square footage and seating requirement vary from county to county in Florida so call me for info or visit the DABT website for detailed information.Full liquor Quota licenses must be acquired directly from an existing license-holder and are sold at market value. The market value is based on supply and demand for the county license of interest so the price can change weekly or even daily if there is a change in demand. Quota licenses are required for package/liquor stores, bars, pubs, nightclubs and for restaurants that would not qualify for an SRX  license. They are specific to a  particular county only and can be moved from location to location within the designated county as long as zoning requirements are met. With this license, you can own and operate a liquor package store, lounge, nightclub/bar or restaurant with no restrictions on food sales, square footage or seating. Smoking is also allowed in establishments as long as it meets the DABT required food and alcohol sales %.
If you are selling your Florida Quota Liquor License, we offer two choices:
1. List your license with us and your license will be placed in the multiple listing system so brokers that deal with retail beverage license buyers will have access to your listing to get a fair price and sold quickly. Your listing will be available to over 1000 brokers statewide. These brokers deal directly with the buyers of liquor stores, bars, nightclubs and restaurants. Depending on county, listings are only 60-90 days.
2. If you choose not to list, just call or email us with the details and we will find a buyer if we do not already have one waiting.
3. Reasonable fees vary based on county and license value. This means you net more and buyers pay less.

If you are buying a Florida Quota liquor license, we will accommodate your liquor license acquisition in a confidential, efficient, and timely manor. We will prepare the Asset Purchase Agreement, the Beverage Transfer Application and in most cases make your appointment and accompany you to the department on day of transfer. Call me on my direct line at 727 403 9933 and visit http://www.tampabaybizsales.com for more info.
